Governor & First Lady Read to STRIDE Kids

Cheyenne, WY (KGWN) - Governor Mead and the First Lady took time out of their busy schedules to promote reading and education at STRIDE Learning Center today.
It's all part of the First Lady's ongoing efforts to encourage parents around the state to read to their kids.
She encourages parents to start early with infants and toddlers and read to them 20 minutes a day.
"My initiative is children's issues and I try to promote literacy around the state and reading to young kids is possibly the most important activity parents can do with their kids and we love doing it with our kids and it's great to be her with a STRIDE group," said Carol Mead, Wyoming First Lady.
