Help Available For Those Attending the Preserve Wyoming Conference

WYOMING - The Wyoming State Historical Society, in partnership with the Wyoming State Historic Preservation Office and the Wyoming Department of State Parks & Cultural Resources, has travel funds available for individuals interested in attending the 2014 Preserve Wyoming Conference. The conference will be held in Powell, Wyoming on September 11-13. The deadline to apply for funds is August 20, 2014. The available funds are generated through a silent auction held at previous Preserve Wyoming conferences. The monies can be used for travel stipends for those wishing to attend the conference but may be unable to do so because of financial constraints.

This conference is open to anyone interested in learning more about historical preservation, main street programs, roadside architecture, and how to create a volunteer program. Renowned speakers from around the United States, in addition to local historians, will present sessions. There will be tours and much more.
