The Tribune Eagle reports hospital officials say most of the problems occurred after a switch to a new system.

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — An attorney for a Missouri woman accused killing her husband almost 40 years ago in Wyoming said yesterday she was protecting herself and her 2-year-old daughter from a violent man. Prosecutors argued Alice Uden shot Ronald Holtz in the back of his head while he slept — a "calculated and malicious" act. After a jury was seated yesterday, both sides presented in opening statements.

ROCK SPRINGS, Wyo. (AP) — Horn and antler collectors can now return to some state land west of the Continental Divide. Gathering was banned for four months on state land and most other public lands west of the divide to avoid stressing wildlife during winter months when they are most vulnerable.

YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK, Wyo. (AP) — The east, west and north entrances to Yellowstone National Park are opening today, enabling visitors to see many of the park's most popular attractions. Entrances to Grant Village, West Thumb Junction and Craig Pass to Old Faithful are set to open a week from today, weather permitting.
