Cheyenne, WY (KGWN) - Just as she promised last Thursday, Cindy Hill showed up at the Hathaway Building just after 8 a.m. this morning ready to return to work.
Close to 50 people, many of them Hill supporters, showed up to greet Hill and welcome her back as director of the Wyoming Department of Education.
Hill went up the second floor to the WDE offices to see if she would be allowed to work. John Masters, who had spent part of the morning meeting with current Director, Richard Crandall, was already there and told her she was not allowed to return to work.
“In fact, as I stand before you, I don't know again if the Governor of the state of Wyoming has recognized the constitutionality, so we will find out if the superintendent has a general supervision of the state of Wyoming," Cindy Hill said.
"Not yet," said Masters
"There's your answer. Not yet," Hill said
There is still no word on when the Laramie County district court will issue the court order allowing hill to return as director of the WDE.
