Hundreds Brave Frigid Temps for Ice Festival

Cheyenne, WY (KGWN) - If it was six degrees outside today, no one told the hundreds of kids at the Kids Extreme Ice Festival. Organizers brought in several feet of snow to construct different sledding slopes for kids in Cheyenne.

The annual event brought out kids of all ages who could sled, go down an ice slide, or crawl through a series of tunnels under the snow piles.

One woman said it the festival is always a special outing for her and her grandson. They go every year, and stay from the very beginning until the very end.
