LCSD #1 wants names for new intermediate school

Cheyenne, WY (KGWN) - A new Intermediate (5–6) school will be constructed on the Crest Ridge Property North of Storey Boulevard, East of Mustang Ridge and South of the City Soccer Parks. The Board of Trustees of Laramie County School District Number One is asking for public input on naming the school. The following guidelines have been established by the Board.

1. Names and geographical locations shall be related to Cheyenne or Laramie County.
2. Care should be taken to ensure that names cannot be construed as discriminating or derogatory.
3. The school cannot be named for an individual.
4. The Board of Trustees will make the final decision concerning the name of the school.

All names submitted must be received by end of the school day on May 14, 2014 or postmarked May 14 to be considered in the selection process. The entry must include the suggested name and your reason for choosing that name.
