Cheyenne, WY (KGWN) - A Laramie man was killed in a two car accident Sunday just west of Laramie.

Chad Plummer, 33 of Laramie, was westbound and Benjamin Franzen, 24, also of Laramie, was eastbound on WY 130. Franzen noticed Plummer cross the center line into his lane of travel. Franzen took evasive action by applying the brakes and at the last second, attempted to swerve left. The front of Plummer's F-250 impacted the passenger side of Franzen's Chevy 2500 in an angular broadside collision. The impact caused both vehicles to rotate and come to rest on the westbound roadway edge. The collision caused extensive damage to both vehicles. Plummer died at the scene. Troopers are investigating whether alcohol use by Plummer may have been a contributing factor.

The accident occurred on WY HWY 130, 8.8 miles West of Laramie.

Franzen was treated at a local hospital and released.

Neither men were wearing seat belts.
