Cheyenne, WY (AP) - Snowmelt runoff is causing minor flooding in parts of Carbon County this week
County emergency management coordinator John Zeigler says the water has only affected pastures so far around the Little Snake River at Baggs and the North Platte at Saratoga.
However, he has concern about forecasts this weekend for rain that would exacerbate the situation.
Zeigler says the county has a supply of sandbags and has been in contact with the Wyoming National Guard in case help is needed.
The snowpack in the Upper North Platte River basin is 151 percent of median.
The only other river in Wyoming that is running near flood stage is the Laramie River at Laramie.
