Cheyenne, WY (KGWN) - Participants supporting freedom of marriage rallied at the State Capitol Building to begin a brand new campaign.
They launched a new facebook page and website called wyomingunites.org.
Supporters of the movement included legislators from both parties, faith leaders and plaintiffs in the Wyoming marriage lawsuit that's currently pending in state district court here in Cheyenne.
Local pastor, Rodger McDaniel, was one of those that spoke about it being time for Wyoming to live up to its name as the "Equality State".
"My sense of this issue came from watching my brother, a gay man, grow up, struggle with becoming who he was and all that he went through in terms of discrimination and judgement from the faith community and made a commitment to him after his death that I would be an advocate on this issue," McDaniel said.
