New health study ranks Laramie County 14th out of 23 counties


Cheyenne, WY (KGWN) - When it comes to the healthiest places to live in Wyoming, Cheyenne and Laramie County rank somewhere in the middle, this according to a new study issued by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.

Laramie County ranked 14th out of the state’s 23 counties.

For average length of life, Laramie County is number 13. For healthy behaviors, which include smoking, physical activity, obesity and drinking the county is ranked at 16th.

Air pollution, driving to work alone over long distances and housing availability resulted in a ranking of 21st in the physical environment category.

But, the county ranked number one in on one category. Cheyenne and Laramie county have the best clinical care in the state.

Teton County was ranked number 1 and at the bottom… Fremont County at number 23.
