Old West Art Show open

Cheyenne, WY (KGWN) - Sixty western artists have gathered here in Cheyenne all to show off their view of the western world.

"Anything that strikes my fancy, i would like to try and paint it" said Denny NeVille, an artist participating in the show.

Over the next week and a half the show will be open at the old west museum for people to come and visit and purchase art for a great cause, "the money that we raise tonight and throughout frontier days with the sale of the art will help us keep our doors open year round," said Kristin Custis, spokesperson for the Old West Museum.

Volunteers like Rick Keslar have been working hard to make sure the art will be seen by as many people as possible.

"We try to develop folks that come in every year and hopefully buy art to take back home and put on their walls," said Rick Keslar, a volunteer for the show.

"I'm just grateful to be part of the show, its been a good one for my career," said NeVille.
