Post 6 baseball will host its annual Memorial Day weekend tournament this Friday through Monday.
Teams from Colorado, Montana and Wyoming will play over the four days at four fields. Powers, Pioneer and Dutcher North and South will all host at least 12 games.
All teams are guaranteed 5 games unless there is bad weather.
It is also Hall of Fame and Alumni weekend. The Alumni game is Sunday at Powers Field starting around 4pm.
There is a new twist to the tournament.
It is a border war. Which ever state wins the most against the other, will win the border war.
Wyoming has a lot on the line since all the Colorado teams are essentially All-Star teams.
"I think it's good. It shows who is better as a state I guess. Hopefully Wyoming teams show up and play and show Colorado we can play baseball here too." Said Senior shortstop Cameron Johnson.
"I am just going to try to do my best. I am learning from Isaac (Block) right now and Tyler Lambert. Just how they are so composed on the mound and how they can change up what they are doing and just learn from them. I am just going to come in with good composure this weekend," said Brock Anderson, who will get a start on the mound during the tournament.
"You know we are playing good baseball. We had a good series last weekend versus Rapid City. This will be the next level of challenge for us to play some of these teams from Colorado that have already had their season. They're All-Star teams. They're outstanding teams. They are always very very difficult and challenging to beat." said Post 6 Manager Tagg Lain
