Cheyenne, WY (KGWN) - Representative Gerald Gay (R-Natrona Co.) along with Representative Stephen Watt (R-Sweetwater Co.) announced today that they have asked the Wyoming Attorney General to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate Governor Matt Mead.

Representative Gay claims to "seen evidence of potential gross misconduct and the misappropriation of state funds and improper use of state resources by the Governor and Governor's staff in the recent MacPherson investigation of Superintendent Hill and her staff..."

Gay claims that the governor used tax payer dollars to pursue an agenda against his political opponent.

Kari Gray, Governor Matt Mead's Chief of Staff, says that this is, "an attempt of Cindy Hill supporters to shift the attention from the Legislative rebuke of Cindy Hill."
