SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb - A newly organized support group for people who have undergone amputation will be held Wednesday, August 6 at Regional West Medical Center. The support group is sponsored by the Regional West Acute Rehabilitation Unit.
The monthly meetings will include a free luncheon, time for discussion and presentations from a variety of guest speakers who will address topics of interest to those who have experienced amputation, their spouse, and/or support person. The group’s mission is to provide a safe environment for sharing of ideas, needs, and emotions with persons that have limb loss, and to empower participants through education, support, and advocacy.
Meetings will be held regularly on the first Wednesday of every month from noon to 1 p.m. in the Keith meeting room at Regional West Medical Center. Lunch will be provided at no cost. Participants are encouraged to use the north parking lot and “Patient Dismissal” entrance for easiest access.
