Cheyenne, WY (KGWN) - When people at CFD are on their phones, they aren't missing the action, they're sharing it on social media sites like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Michelle McAlister came to CFD all the way from Australia and said she likes that she can easily share her experiences with friends and family a half a world away. "It's nice I can show them everything and they can see what it's like without having to be here," she said.
And the Daddy of 'em All might be 118 years old, but it's keeping up with the social media craze with official accounts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, and Vine. CFD CEO Dan Cheney said the CFD organizers recognize the importance of reaching out to younger generations.
"We know that's how they like to be engaged," said Cheney. He also added that they put a lot of resources into making sure they have a successful social media presence. "We do core research, focus groups, and find out what this generation wants to see so we can better participate with them."
The CFD Facebook has more than 110,000 likes and the Twitter account has nearly 10,000 followers. You can find links to the sites in the sidebar.
