The Wyoming Department of Insurance has cautions people to recognize the requirements of not only obtaining health insurance this year, but also to acquire proof of insurance. Complications within the health insurance marketplaces have created challenges for some new enrollees who have not yet received proof of their insurance coverage. The Wyoming Department of Insurance has issued a series of steps they suggest to people have this difficulty.
First they suggest that you contact your company and verify that you do indeed have insurance. They in turn can then help issue you an identification card or identification number. During your conversation with, make sure to take notes and keep details, as well as save copies for your own personal file.
In the meantime, if you so happen to need to see a doctor or get a prescription filled there are a couple of ways for them to verify your insurance coverage on the spot. They may be able to verify by calling your insurance provider themselves. If they are unable to, you may also be able to pay for the cost out of pocket, and then be reimbursed at a later date by your insurance.
