Cheyenne, WY (KGWN)- Saturday's Super Day event sponsored by Holly Frontier had several events for all ages, but it was also a golden opportunity for political candidates.
With a candidate tent section, volunteers in campaign shirts handing out flyers, and cars along 8th Street acting as mobile billboards, the day gave candidates in state, county, and city campaigns the chance to get out and spread their message.
Jillian Balow, a Republican candidate for Superintendent of Public Instruction raved about the day. "I wish every city had a Super Day, it's just a really great chance to meet with families and discuss the superintendent's race and why it's so important for folks to vote," said Balow.
The primary election is on August 19th.
