Casper, WY (AP) - The campaign manager for Wyoming Republican gubernatorial candidate Taylor Haynes has left the campaign.
Ernest Cummings said Monday that he left after about a month as campaign director.
Cummings tells the Casper Star-Tribune that he's disappointed in the leadership style of Haynes. He declined to elaborate.
Haynes says that the loss of Cummings wasn't a big deal and that he doesn't plan to name a new campaign manager, noting he has competent people managing various aspects of the campaign.
The Cheyenne rancher, health care company owner and retired physician says the campaign strategy is working and is running well on its own.
Haynes is one of two candidates challenging Governor Matt Mead in the August 19 primary. State schools Superintendent Cindy Hill is the other candidate.
