Texas fugitive being sought in Sweetwater County

Sweetwater County, WY (KGWN) - Law enforcement officials in Sweetwater County are searching for a Texas fugitive said to be in the Rock Springs area.

Sweetwater County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Detective Dick Blust said Peter Julius Jensen, 61, is wanted by Texas authorities for Parole Violation, original charge Burglary. Blust said Jensen is reported to have had heart surgery in Texas earlier this month, but vanished several days after being released from the hospital.

Relatives report that they believe he is in the Rock Springs area working on a ranch or seeking work on a ranch.

Jensen is a white male, 61 years of age, 6'2" in height, weight about 190 pounds, with brown/gray hair and greenish-brown eyes. He has many tattoos, including an unfinished tattoo of a nude woman on his back. No vehicle information was available at press time.

Jensen is described by Texas authorities as violent and an escape risk. Blust said that if he is seen or encountered, he should not be approached or confronted. Anyone with information concerning his whereabouts is asked to call the Sweetwater County Sheriff’s Office at (307) 922-5321 or other law enforcement agency.
