DENVER, CO We’ve just learned a new trial date will be set for Aurora, Colorado Theater Shooting suspect James Holmes.

On Wednesday (7/9/14) the judge in the case announced the second sanity evaluator needs more time than the current August 15 deadline. However, the requested October 15 extension would impact the current October 14 trial date. Therefore a new trial date will be set during the July 22 hearing.

That comes just two years and two days after the shooting that killed 12 and injured 58 others in the Aurora movie theater.
