The Nathaniel Castellanos sentencing trial continued Wednesday morning with the defense calling several more witnesses to the stand. The day began with the defense calling two therapist that had worked with Castellanos family following the murders.
The first therapist worked with Castellanos' son, Nathan. During his time counseling Nathan, he concluded that he had some emotional and mental pains. The defense pointed out that he hadn't worked with Nathan until after the murders, and hence could not state whether his condition was a result of his father's actions.
He was followed Richard Berry, a family counselor. He testified to having heard directly from Nicole, the mother of Castellanos son, saying how pleased she was with Castellanos as a father. The defense showed how during her time working with Berry, Nicole never told him about any of the violent events that Castellanos was involved with. After lunch, Nicole took the stand and she told several personal stories of her and Castellanos.
