Cheyenne, Wyo. (KGWN) On Sunday the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, the Air Force's official demonstration team, took Denver Bronco Wes Welker on a backseat flight.
Welker received military-style patches, was custom-fitted in a G-suit, tested his Thunderbirds-painted helmet, practiced anti-G breathing techniques with the Thunderbirds flight doctor and had a pre-flight briefing with his pilot.

On Tuesday, July 22, the Thunderbirds will be visiting with patients
from the Cheyenne Veterans Affairs Medical Center at 9 a.m. Interested media should meet at the front doors of the Cheyenne VA at 8:45 a.m.
On July 23, at 7:30 a.m. College Drive closes to through traffic between Avenue C and Fox Farm Rd. LCCC campus opens for spectator parking. Beginning at 9:00 a.m. College Drive closes completely and won't reopen until 10:00 a.m. The show is taking place across the skies of Cheyenne at 9:30AM.
