Laramie, WY (AP) - A 58-year-old Laramie man has been fined $70 after his malnourished dog froze to death.

Court records show Jim Mora pleaded guilty on January 21 to two counts of cruelty to animals in Laramie Municipal Court. Each count carried a $35 fine.

City animal control officer Steve Amrine said that the dog was found frozen to death during a period of cold weather in early December.
