Wyoming prisoner dies at state prison in Rawlins

Rawlins, WY (KGWN) - Travis Lee Vigil, a Wyoming inmate, died unexpectedly Monday, April 14, 2014, at the Memorial Hospital of Carbon County in Rawlins, Wyoming, from apparent natural causes.

Vigil was sentenced in Carbon County on December 10, 2009 by District Court Judge Wade E. Waldrip. He was serving 10 to 14 years for concurrent sentences of taking a controlled substance into a jail, delivery of a controlled substance, and conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance.

Vigil was born on April 14, 1973, in Denver, Colorado.

As per departmental policy an autopsy has been ordered.
