ACES program will close temporarily at LCCC

Cheyenne, Wyo. (Release) Thanks to an opportunity to improve its service to the community, Laramie County Community College’s ACES (Adult Career and Education System) program will be closed to students from June 30 through Aug. 10.

During that time, high school equivalency testing will still be available. The ACES HSEC testing information can be found under the “testing centers” link at lccc.wy.edu/academics/services/.
LCCC was selected to participate in a pilot project, “Transforming Adult Education for Career Success Initiative.” During the closure, the ACES program will continue to align the curriculum to meet the College and Career Readiness Standards and redesign other parts of the program. This approach will transform learning and instruction, with the anticipated result of higher academic skills transitioning into classes and course completion. A secondary outcome of the project will be placement in life-sustaining.

For more information about ACES, call 307-637-2450 or email kwillmar@lccc.wy.edu.
