CASPER, Wyo. (AP) — Wildlife officials are reminding hunters that the deadline to apply for licenses for several types of animals is fast approaching. The Casper Star-Tribune reports the deadline for applying for a moose, bighorn sheep, mountain goat and wild bison for all hunters is 5 p.m. Feb. 28. Bison hunters are required to submit the full license fee at the time of application.
FARSON, Wyo. (AP) — Authorities have recovered hundreds of pages of stolen personal information after pulling over a vehicle going 111 mph in a 65 mph zone near Farson in southwestern Wyoming last week. The Wyoming Highway Patrol says three people were arrested on felony charges. All three have addresses in Florida.
EVANSTON, Wyo. (AP) — Blayne Streeper is the overall winner of Stage Stop Sled Dog Race through Wyoming. The Fort Nelson, British Columbia, man finished first in the 30-mile leg from Bridger Valley to Evanston on Saturday, the eighth and last day of the race. Streeper took home $100,000.
