Broken Bow, NE (AP) - Authorities say two Broken Bow women have been arrested on murder charges in the death of a 20-month-old boy.

The Nebraska State Patrol says the two were taken into custody on Tuesday. They were identified as 23-year-old Brittney Pryce and 50-year-old Diane Hill. Public phone listings for Pryce and Hill couldn't be found. Online court records don't list the names of their attorneys.

The patrol says Pryce and Hill are charged with second-degree murder and child abuse resulting in death.

The patrol says little Noah Pryce was in their care on Nov. 17 when he suffered a head injury. He died at an Omaha hospital on Nov. 22.

The patrol says the boy was a ward of the state, and Brittney Pryce and her husband were his guardians.
