Lincoln, NE (AP) - Former Nebraska football player Avery Moss has been fined $500 for a public indecency conviction.

The Lincoln Journal Star reports that Moss was fined Friday by Lancaster County Judge Gale Pokorny.

The 19-year-old Moss, from Tempe, Ariz., has been banned from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus through Dec. 31. Moss' attorney says Moss isn't eligible to ask to be reinstated until December.

Police say Moss exposed himself to a student worker at a campus convenience store in December 2012. He pleaded no contest to a public indecency charge earlier this year.

Moss, a defensive lineman, started three games and played in nine others in 2013. He made 36 tackles, including 4.5 sacks, and returned an interception 25 yards for a touchdown in a win over Northwestern.
