It's the second straight year Nebraska athletes have won both annual scholarships recognizing one male and one female Big Ten senior. It was announced Tuesday that Long and Wong each receive $10,000 scholarships.

Wong has a 3.92 grade-point average and plans to graduate in December with her nutrition science degree and psychology/child, youth and family studies minor. Long graduated in December with a biological sciences degree and minors in humanities in medicine and psychology. Long finished with a 3.792 GPA and plans to go to medical school.

The award is named for the former Big Ten commissioner who served from 1971-89.
