Omaha, NE (AP) - An Omaha businessman who is challenging incumbent Republican Rep. Lee Terry in the May 13 GOP primary election has filed candidacy paperwork with the state.
Dan Frei filed the documents Tuesday with Nebraska Secretary of State office in Lincoln.
Frei has said he is running because he's unhappy with the work Terry has done in Congress. Frei said Tuesday he wants to reduce the size of the federal government "and restore our freedoms."
Sen. Brad Ashford is the lone Democrat in the race for the Omaha-centric House seat.
