Roughly 2,000 to race up Omaha's tallest building

Omaha, NE (AP) - About 2,000 people are expected to race up 870 stairs to reach the top of Omaha's tallest building this weekend.
he charity event will get started at 7 a.m. Saturday. The first group up the steps of the First National Bank tower will include Omaha Police Chief Todd Schmaderer and a group of firefighters in full gear.

The racers from 11 different states will get started around 7:30 a.m.

The race raises money for the Wellness Council of the Midlands, which promotes better health and well being.
