North Platte, NE (AP) - Two youths who stabbed two Nebraska Youth Center employees in North Platte have been given prison sentences.
Eighteen-year-old Keenan Lambert and 17-year-old Jordan Baker had been convicted after pleading no contest to felony assault and use of a deadly weapon. On Monday Baker was sentenced to 15 to 30 years, and Lambert was sentenced to 20 to 40 years.
Judge Donald Rowlands says he gave Lambert more prison time than Baker because he's older and seemed to be guiding their actions.
Prosecutors say Lambert and Baker stabbed Diana Johns and Robin Schneider on July 8, stole an employee's vehicle and fled the youth center. They were captured later that day in Dawson County.
