Rock Springs, WY (AP) - The family of three people arrested after allegedly fighting with a police officer at a Rock Springs basketball game says they didn't know the man was in law enforcement.

Forty-year-old Jennifer Brooks and two of her children, 18-year-old Tess Brooks and 20-year-old Dusty Wagnone, were arrested at the March 28 game. They remained in jail Friday.

Police say the three were cursing and gesturing at opposing team players and got into a fight with school resource officer Russ Petek after they refused to leave.

Jennifer Brooks' fiance, James Courtway, told the Casper Star-Tribune that Wagnone's fiancee was there. According to her, Petek had been sitting with opposing fans before approaching them and wasn't in uniform.

Police say they have a video of the fight but won't release it.
