Jackson, WY (AP) - Jackson is considering changing its laws and regulations to allow food trucks in town.

The Jackson Hole Daily reported Tuesday that the town doesn't specifically ban food trucks now. However, a report prepared for town councilors concluded that the municipal code and land development regulations would likely make such operations unfeasible.

The sale of goods on public property is currently banned although exceptions are made for special events like farmers markets. In addition, food trucks could face having to provide parking and employee housing under the current rules.

Jackson has had several inquiries recently from people interested in having a food truck in town. The most recent one came in December from the owner of a gourmet hot dog truck.
