Jackson, WY (AP) - Jackson Hole ski resorts had a successful winter season.

Both the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and Snow King Ski Area reported high skier numbers during the just completed season.

Plentiful snowfall during the ski season contributed greatly to the success. Jackson Hole Mountain Resort received 500 inches.

But Jackson Hole Mountain Resort also saw benefits from being ranked the No. 1 ski resort by Ski Magazine at the outset of the season.

And Snow King benefited from celebrating its 75th anniversary.

The Jackson Hole News & Guide reports that both ski operations are investing in new infrastructure for still stronger seasons in the future.

Two skiers died in or near Jackson Hole Mountain Resort this season, one in an out-of-bounds avalanche and another after skiing into a tree in-bounds.
