Cheyenne, WY (KGWN) - The loss of two animals at the Little Critters Petting Zoo has one local woman reeling.

The Little Critters Petting Zoo is just 15 minutes outside of Cheyenne, and it's a popular attraction for local kids. Owner and operator Leslie Shelton has owned the zoo for the past two and a half years, but has cared for many of the animals over the last 12 years since she moved in.

At last USDA registration, Shelton said she had 75 animals, but that that number has fluctuated since then. But it was two deaths in March that has Shelton concerned.

In mid-March, an alpaca and a llama died within two days. Then all of her pregnant goats aborted suddenly. It was a devastating loss without any answers. Shelton firmly believes her animals were poisoned, but both of her veterinarians told NewsChannel5 that without comprehensive tests, they wouldn't draw that conclusion.
