Riverton, WY (AP) A Hudson methamphetamine dealer and his supplier have been sentenced in federal court for running what authorities describe as a widespread drug operation.
The Riverton Ranger reports Judge Scott W. Skavdahl sentenced Timothy Pitt on Wednesday to 15 years in prison and ordered him to forfeit $7,100 he made from selling the drug. Pitt's supplier, Maria de la luz Vargas, of Green River, was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
Pitt pleaded guilty to distribution and conspiracy charges, as well as using a firearm in a crime. Vargas pleaded guilty to a conspiracy charge.
Fremont County Sheriff Skip Hornecker says "the tentacles from this operation were pretty widespread. It led to other counties and even into other countries."
