Cheyenne, WY (KGWN) - Ella, a resident at Sierra Hills Assisted Living has lived through quite a bit. Born in 1909, she celebrated her 105th birthday on Saturday. And it was one gift, from a family friend in Nebraska that really made her day that much more special.

Shirl, a florist at La Fleur in Cheyenne got a call Friday morning from a woman in Nebraska ordering a special bouquet for Ella. And Shirl knew that this wasn't like all of her other orders. "I said, 105, that's something special think of all this woman's seen," said Shirl.

She then delivered the bouquet of orange roses to Sierra Hills to a surprised Ella who said it wasn't often she got gifts anymore. "No this doesn't happen often so this is special," Ella said.

As for making it to 105? Ella says her only trick was "just surviving."
