These activities include hiking, mountain biking, camping, bouldering, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and more. The campaign includes a new brochure entitled Cheyenne Adventure Within Reach, a new website (CheyenneOutdoors.org), and a new public relations effort about the area.

Logan Avenue Reconstruction Project Gets Underway

Posted: 07/07/2014 - The reconstruction of Logan Avenue between Nationway and East Pershing Boulevard will begin on Monday, July 7, weather permitting. The first phase of the project will close Logan Avenue between Nationway and just north of East 10th Street. The intersection of Nationway and Logan Avenue will have lane reductions, but will remain open.

I-80 College Drive exit Re-opens

Posted: 07/04/2014 - The Interstate 80 eastbound exit onto College Drive is back open. That off-ramp was closed for the past four weeks due to repairs being done on the bridge crossing Crow Creek. The westbound exit to College Drive is also scheduled to close for about 30 days for repairs. That off-ramp isn’t scheduled to close until July 28, the day after Cheyenne Frontier Days is completed.

Horse Virus Found in WY, Shouldn't be Concern for CFD

Posted: 07/04/2014 - A case of Equine Infectious Anemia or EIA was found in one horse located in Johnson County forcing the horse to be euthanized. Cases of the disease are not common in Wyoming, but are very serious when they occur. Dr. Bob Meyer says despite the recent discovery there is not much reason to worry about horses at Frontier Days.
