Laramie, WY (KGWN)- Consider the 2014 football season officially started for the University of Wyoming.
New head coach Craig Bohl lead his team in a two and a half hour practice, the first of 15 for the spring season.
Bohl's staff will use the time to begin instituting its systems, which includes a move to a 4-3 defense.
The Cowboys have 18 returning starters, including seven on offense, nine on defense and two on special teams.
Players know each other already, trust has been built over time, but with a new coach staff the trust between players and coaches will take time.
"I'm sure they're looking in saying, 'ok can we really trust these coaches?'" Craig Bohl said. "That comes with time, it comes about being really consistent, getting to know our players. That's the x-factor that allows you to win championships."
