This weekend in Gillette was quite amazing for our team, Friday night we led the meet off in the 200 Medley Relay with a 1st place finish and a new school record 1:39.52 (Kyle White, Andrew Ehardt, Brandon Troudt and Thomas Reams)—the previous record was set back in 2004. Throughout the meet, our team had several lifetime best performances and the rest were season best times!
Saturday we continued the momentum as Kyle White placed 1st in the 100 Breaststroke and broke the State record by almost 1 second with a time of 56.34~the previous record was set in 2012 by Taylor Wisdorf of East (57.25). Kyle’s time was also fast enough to earn a High School All-American Automatic honors, broke the Pool record, and set a Meet and School record. Kyle’s second individual event was the 100 Butterfly where he placed first with 50.62 which he will also earn High School All-American Consideration honors, set a new Meet record and School record. Again, our team had mostly lifetime best times and the rest being season best during the competition—swimming different events than on Friday!
All of this being done three weeks from the State competition in Gillette February 28th & March 1st.
