Post 6 took to Powers Field early Saturday morning against the Laramie Rangers. The Sixers bats have been hot lately so they needed their pitching to follow suit.
They scored 2 in the bottom of the 1st and 2nd inning to take an early lead. They put up 4 in the bottom of the 3rd. Post 6 got the pitching performance they needed to win 12-1 in 5 innings. Tyler Lambert pitched 4 innings of shut out ball. He finished with 5 strikes and almost all were on that nasty curve ball he possess. Post 6 will be back in action Saturday May 3rd with a double header against Gillette.
The Cheyenne Mustangs started their day at 4:30pm versus The Miles City Outlaws out of Montana.
Kyle Curby got the nod on the mound and pitched his best when it counted the most. He had 3 strike outs with Outlaws in scoring position and 2 outs.
The bats did not come alive until the Bottom of the 5th for the Mustangs. They scored 7 while batting around once. The Outlaws attempted a comeback but to no avail. Mustangs win Game 1 11-6.
They must have used up all of their runs in the first game because the Outlaws came back and won Game 2 9-4
