News Channel 5 Sports caught up with former Wyoming Cowboy Mitch Unrein, as he and the Denver Broncos prepare for the Super Bowl.
How are you feeling at the midway point of Super Bowl Week?
I'm getting more and more excited as the week goes by. After we won the AFC Championship and we were at home for that week before we came out here, it really didn't seem real like we were in the Super Bowl. But once we got out here, and saw everything that was going on.
We've already had media day, to see that it's just insane. We're starting with our practice week right now, with our first padded practice of the week already done.. The excitement is just building and building and I'm sure by Sunday I'm going to be ready to explode. I mean it's gonna be hard to keep my emotions in check...
Let's say you guys bring that trophy home, is it like the Stanley Cup where everyone gets a day with it?
I hope so I want a day with it. I would go everywhere in Denver and I would probably eat for free anywhere I went.
Are you going to bring it back to Eaton (Unrein's hometown in Colorado)? Or up here to Wyoming? We want to see it too.
Well I only have a day man. I don't want to be driving everywhere, but I would take it as many places as I could. If I took it up to my hometown, that would be a huge hit. And definitely up to Laramie. That would be something that a lot of people wouldn't ever dream of seeing so that would be pretty cool if they let us do something like that.
