The Cheyenne Stampede are proud to announce the signing of 6'3, 200 pound Canadian right winger Nolan Kinney.

Kinney has had stops in the British Columbia Junior Hockey League, Maritime Hockey League and just recently finished up last season with the Dryden Ice Dogs of the Superior International Junior Hockey League.

"Kinney is big, strong and skates extremely well for his size. His shot and presence will serve the Cheyenne Stampede well as they build for a great season ahead," said Head Coach Eric Ballard. "Kinney played last season with the Bridgewater Lumberjacks of the Maritime league before being traded to Dryden for a play-off run in the SIJHL. I have had the opportunity to not only watch Nolan but get to know him over the past few weeks and he is full of character and leadership qualities that will only benefit our organization."

Kinney has a wealth of junior hockey experience and because of his size and skill he will be a force to be reckoned with as he dawns a Stampede jersey in little less than a month. "We as an organization just took a huge step in the right direction by acquiring a player like Nolan and what he will bring to the table," an elated Ballard said after the signing of Kinney. "We couldn't be happier of where our club sits today as far as recruits and the caliber of player that will be in Cheyenne this season."
