Englewood, CO(KGWN)- The Denver Broncos today announced that starting weak-side linebacker Danny Trevathan will miss the next 6-8 weeks of action.
That announcement came after Trevathan was carted off the field following a play in which a group of Broncos were chasing down a sweep play.
Trevathan was the Broncos leading tackler in 2013 with 105, but Denver will miss his leadership just as much. He is also the man who calls the plays in the defensive huddle for the Broncos.
Brandon Marshal is listed 2nd on Denver's depth chart, behind Trevathan.
The injury to Trevathan is listed as a left medial tibial impaction fracture.
