The Cheyenne Extreme competed this last weekend in the 2014 TC Sports State tournament at the Aurora Sports Park in Aurora, CO. The Cheyenne Extreme 18’s went 7-1 for the weekend and finished in 1st place. The Extreme now have won back to back CO 18U “B” Triple Crown State Titles following up their 2013 Championship in the same division. This also is the 3rd title in the last 4 years for Extreme in the CO TC Sports 18U “B” State Tourney. (2011 Champs)
Game 1 – Extreme defeated the CO Diamonds White 10-8. Amberly Chisholm got the win in the circle. Extreme Designated Hitter, Hannah Feagler, hit a Grand slam in the bottom of the 6th to give Extreme a 10-6 lead and Extreme held to win the game in the top of the 7th, holding the Diamonds to 2 runs.
Game 2 – Extreme defeated the Lightning Fastpitch 6-0. Hannah Feagler got the win for Extreme.
Game 3 – Extreme Lost to the CO Fusion out of Fountain CO 7-0, Hannah Feagler took the loss. Extreme was unable to generate any offense while committing 7 errors and allowing 7 unearned runs.
Game 4 – After the Fusion loss Extreme had to move down into the loser side of the bracket. Once again Extreme faced the CO Diamonds White. With both teams playing solid defense Extreme was able to generate enough offense to earn a 5-4 victory. Hannah Feagler got the win in the circle.
Game 5 – Extreme faced the Lightning Fastpitch and with a dominating pitching performance by Hannah Feagler Extreme was able to cruise to a 10-2 victory.
Game 6 – Extreme faced the CO Springs AquaSox. This was a back and forth battle the whole game with neither team able to pull away. The game ended up being tied at the end of regulation time 6-6. (7th inn/1.5 hr time limit) In extra innings the international tie-breaker system was now in play. Extreme was the home team. The Aquasox were able to manufacture a run in their top half of the inning, but the Extreme battled back with 2 runs in the bottom half for the victory. Pitching - Lindsey Lemmon Got the victory in the circle.
Extreme was now in the Championship game and had to defeat the CO Fusion twice to claim the title.
Game 7 – Champ GM 1 – In an untimed 7 inning battle – played over 2hrs. This was a game affected by weather as half of the game was played in a light rain. Extreme was able to hold on for a 13-11 victory. Hannah Feagler got the win in the circle and Lindsey Lemmon came in in the 5th inning to get the save.
Game 8 – Champ GM 2 – Although Extreme was in control for most of the game, Extreme left a number of runners in scoring position for the first 4 innings and could never pull away. After 4 innings the score was 4-2 . In the bottom half of the 5th inning Extreme was able to load the bases up with no outs. Extreme was able to push 2 runs across for a 6-2 lead. With 1 out and runners on 2nd & 3rd, Heather Amen Hit a walk-off double scoring both base runners as the game ended with the mercy rule. (6-run lead after 5 innings)
Pitching – Lindsey Lemmon got the win in the circle.

Pitching – Hannah Feagler was a BULLDOG this weekend in the circle. I wish I had all of her stats but as of right now this is all of the info I have from my scorekeeper.
4-1 record – threw 473 pitches – 1.93 ERA
Hitting – We hit 6 HR’s – Hannah Feagler with a game winning grand slam. Kayla Frazier with 3 HR’s. Frazier was hitting so well that all of the teams were trying to pitch around her.
