Anthony Keith joined CBS NewsChannel 5 in May of 2012.
His first two years in broadcast journalism were spent working in Colorado as a sports reporter. While there, Anthony was also the host of the nationally broadcast Rams Sports Magazine Show. He would soon leave his home state to Wyoming to take on the role as sports director at CBS NewsChannel 5. After covering high school, University of Wyoming and even youth sports Anthony was offered the morning anchor position at CBS 5 in December of 2012. For two years he would make his way to work at 2AM each morning to help prepare viewers for their day ahead. As the morning anchor Anthony became heavily involved with the community and fell in love with the city of Cheyenne and the Cowboy State. When one of the greatest journalist to work in the Cowboy State announced he was retiring, Robert Geha, Anthony was honored to accept the position of evening anchor in November of 2014.
A Colorado native and graduate of the University of Northern Colorado, Anthony is very familiar with Wyoming and the region. While attending college he worked for UNC's athletic department, shooting and broadcasting Bears football games, volleyball matches and basketball games. He was also the school's sports anchor (Bear News, Channel 98 in Greeley) and fell in love with the rush associated with covering athletes of all levels. After years of working alongside the news department Anthony developed a true passion for journalism in general.
Anthony realizes the importance of finding and sharing local stories with the community and wants to provide the people of Wyoming with the best possible news coverage. You can help him do that by sending any story ideas to firstname.lastname@example.org .
