Graham Hunter joined the KGWN team in April 2013, as the Sports Director. He loves sports, especially the Broncos! He's a gym rat that loves lifting weights and can be found at the Y or running at a park. His proudest athletic moment came in June 2012 when he finished the Tough Mudder in Beaver Creek, CO. It was 12 miles of mud, pain and sweat, stationed at 10,000 feet, but crossing the finish line was an awesome moment for Hunter. He plans to do another in the future and also is looking forward to running some more 10k races.
Hunter was born in Augusta, Georgia, but raised in a little Colorado town south of Cheyenne called Fort Collins. He graduated from Colorado State University where he majored in Technical Journalism and minored in Political Science. While at CSU he was a morning disc jockey at the radio station (KCSU), interviewing local and national bands every Friday on a segment he created called Breakfast with the Band. He also anchored newscasts for the school's TV station (CTV) and interned for CSU's Creative Services Department.
After graduation, Hunter worked as a photojournalist and fill-in reporter at CBS affiliate KKTV Channel 11 in Colorado Springs for 17 months before moving to Cheyenne. He has covered national stories like the Waldo Canyon Fire and Aurora Theater Shooting. Hunter is proud to be covering sports in Wyoming and to call Cheyenne home.
