A very ambitious Marine Corps veteran is gearing up to bike across America.
The purpose behind Scot King's journey is simple: to show appreciation and gratitude for the men and women who fought and who are fighting for the county. "I want to thank them for their service...it's something we should all do everyday" King said.
King, an Elks Lodge member, will interview other Elks Lodge members wounded in combat. His aim is to tell their untold stories. He also hopes to recognize the sacrifices their families make when they return home.
On Sunday King was given the Wyoming state flag which he'll take with him on his journey. Overall, he'll ride over eight thousand miles and pick up several other state flags along the way. Eventually they will all be raised at the Veteran's Memorial Coliseum in Portland, Oregon.
