In anticipation of possibly the school year's first big snow storm. Laramie County School District One wants to make sure parents know how the district will handle school closures.
Procedures will be similar to last year.
A decision on whether to cancel school will be made before 5:30 a.m.
To find those closures, parents are encouraged to go to the LCSD1 website.
Superintendent Mark Stock says they generally won't close if roads are passable or for cold, but did want to make it clear kids can be excused if parents think it's too dangerous for their child.
"They just need to contact the school and let them know that they're not able to get to the bus stop or that it's too cold for their child to walk that far to a bus stop and wait, we will excuse them, it'll be an excused absence," Stock said.
